ANNUAL EID MESSAGE FROM THE RAMADHAN FOUNDATION

Published: 21/10/2006 15:42

The Ramadhan Foundation wishes all those people around the world the very best wishes and congratulations at the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

Ramadhan has been a time of giving and we know that you have been giving generously through our international development partner Interpal, we encourage people still to give at (www.interpal.org) There are many people around the world who will be starving this Eid.

Eid ul Fitr comes at the end of the holy month of Ramadhan Eid is a time to come together as a community and to renew friendship and family ties. This is a time for peace for all Muslims in the world to devote to prayers and mutual well-being.  We pray for peace and stability around the world and stand with those that are being oppressed.  Islam teaches us tolerance and peace and we hope the world reflects on this.

Muslims are not only celebrating the end of fasting, but thanking God for the help and strength that we believe Allah gave us throughout the previous month to help us practice self-control. In this month we have been enriched spiritually by prayer and contemplation.

Mr. Shazad Anwar, Chief Executive of the Foundation comments:

“On behalf of the Foundation I am pleased to offer our brothers and sisters around the world many congratulations on the completion of Ramadhan and the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.  We hope people enjoy the celebration with family and friends and that people continue to pray for all those around the world that are suffering.

We have been amazed by the generosity of the British Muslim community who have been giving a lot on money to charity; people around the world will be able to have a more fulfilling Eid. We urge people to still give through Helping Hands.

I once again offer my sincere greetings on this joyful occasion of Eid”

END
