In a keynote speech delivered in
Mumbai following a visit to the University, the Chairman talked about how
important dialogue and peace between faiths was so important. It is for
this reason the Ramadhan Foundation has spearheaded the campaign to increase
dialogue between faiths in the United Kingdom. 7/7 was an attack against
Islam and has failed to divide those that wish to see a calming of feelings
on both sides of the community.
Mr Muhammad Umar comments:
"The Foundation will continue to
increase dialogue in the UK between faiths and communities. I make no
apology to those that think the Muslim community is not bringing great
success and diversity to the UK, on the contrary these are achievements the
UK should be proud of.
The world will see once again at
the Muslim Unity Convention in Sheffield this year the great talent and
success we have. Building lasting links between communities and also
showcasing the best we have in the Muslim community is what it is all about,
we welcome all to see.
