SCHOLAR OF MAURITANIA

The Ramadhan Foundation expresses its deep condolences and
prayers to the Muslims of The Islamic Republic of Mauritania on
the passing of one of the most learned and noble scholar of Islam, His
Excellency Allamah Shaykh Muhammad Salim weld Adood (May God
Almighty shower him with his mercy & blessings)
We offer our prayers to his Excellency's family, friends and
students around the world for indeed the world has lost a leader
of great talent, compassion and kindness. Millions have
benefited from his knowledge and his legacy will be his books,
his students and those who vastly benefited from his knowledge
and kindness.
Mr. Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Foundation comments:
"I am deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden death of one of
Islam's true jewels, the entire world has lost a great scholar who
in comparison without any exaggeration was the most learned
scholar of his time.
I had the privilege and honor of studying with him and benefited
deeply from his deep knowledge and wisdom, he was a remarkable
person and truly someone who reminded you always of God and His
Noble Prophet."
Shaykh Salim spent his entire life in the service of Islam and
serving the sacred knowledge and the students of knowledge whom
he called his children.
Our ultimate prayers are with his family, friends, students and
admirers all around the world, we must work together to promote
his honorable legacy.

scholar of Mauritania, according to others he was the one of the
most learned scholars of his time.
He memorised by heart 100s of various different text and was
known as a master in the sciences of Islam has many of his
students are currently major scholars throughout the world.
he came from family of scholars who were known for they deep
knowledge and humbleness, he studied with his noble father the
learned Shaykh Muhammad Ali weld Abdul Wadood as Shinqiti al
Maliki.
Shaykh
Muhammad Salim dedicated his entire life to the service of Islam
and was known for his hospitality and love for spreading the
true teaching of Islam.
