History
Ever since the Muslim
community began to settle in the UK the educational needs of Muslims
have not been met. The UK has over the last twenty years seen mosques
being established, with very little regard for the education of future
generations in Western society.
The Ramadhan Foundation
was established to bring the educational and welfare needs of the Muslim
community to the forefront of the community’s thoughts. There aim is to
have in place the structures and institutions to prepare future
generations with the necessary skills and knowledge to take on the
challenges of this new era.
The Ramadhan Foundation
believes they should be a balance and have expectations that meet their
criteria support each other and never lose sight of their objectives.
The Ramadhan Foundation
is open to all types of people; they work without any form of prejudice
of any kind. The Ramadhan Foundation passionately believes that
everybody deserves an opportunity to realise their full potential.
The Foundation was
officially launched at the inaugural Muslim Unity Convention held on
Sunday 7th August 2005. The Convention was held at the
magnificent and world famous
Bridgewater Hall in
Manchester.
Over two thousand people came together to
witness for the first time UK history the Ramadhan Foundation taking the
initiative and leadership of uniting Muslims in the UK under one
umbrella. |
