UK GOVERNMENT MUST COME CLEAN ON
TORTURE
Published: 09/08/2009 14:30
Mr. Mohammed Shafiq, Chief Executive of
the Ramadhan Foundation comments:
"The Ramadhan Foundation expresses its deep concern at the UK
Government's refusal to order an independent inquiry into torture
allegations, the signs of a just nation is how transparent it is when it
comes to these issues - on that they are failing.
If
they continue to refuse this request the British people will draw their
own conclusions that their Government has been complicit in torture.
Only a Public inquiry now will restore trust.
